DIY Doll Hangers
Have you looked at the prices for the doll hangers? Outrageous! I can buy hangers for my infant cheaper than I can buy a doll hanger! So we took to making our own! We were able to make 100 hangers (with clips for pants) for under $30.00 which equals about $0.30 per hanger instead of the normal $0.75 per hanger! Instructions are below!
You'll Need (click on the item to see where I bought it):
Jumbo Craft Sticks - 3 sticks per hanger
Mini Clothespins - I use 2 per hanger - I did clothespins on 1/2 of the hangers since a good half of the outfits we have are dresses that don't need them
Cup Hooks- We made sure that these would fit with our rod that we use for her clothes. 1 Hook per hanger is needed.
Hot Glue Gun
1. Measure 1/4 inch in the middle of the craft stick. Cut the stick in half so that a 1/4 inch hole is there (see photo). This is where the hook is going to go.
2. Hot glue each 1/2 of the craft stick to one whole craft stick.
3. Hot glue the cup hook to the whole craft stick between the cut sticks.
4. Hot Glue another whole craft stick to the top.
5. (IF desired) Hot glue mini clothespins to the hanger.
